2007 : SALON 1800 EXPANDS PRESENCE IN LINCOLN PARK November 16, 2007 Salon 1800, Chicago’s cutting edge salon and day spa, recently signed a new lease allowing them to almost double the size of their Lincoln Park store. The salon will move from their location at 1011 W. Armitage Ave. to occupy two levels at 1133 West Armitage taking them from 5,000 to 9,000 square feet. It will also include Spa Derma, which offers an array of medically based cosmetic services set in a relaxing spa-like atmosphere. Salon 1800 anticipates opening their new location in early 2008. Salon 1800 has a second location in Old Town at 157 W. North Avenue. “Salon 1800 was already in a great Lincoln Park location where they had been for 15 years,” says Janika Brenner of Baum Realty Group who represented Salon 1800 in the lease transaction. “However, as their business continued to grow, they saw an opportunity to expand and revitalize the salon without sacrificing their proximity to the boutique shopping along Armitage Avenue.
