2007 : Sushi Para to Open Downtown Location March 1, 2007 The famed Sushi Para recently signed a new lease to open its third Chicagoland location. The new site will be downtown at 123 N. Wacker Drive, a property shared with retail tenants Corner Bakery and Xerox and across the street from John Buck’s new proposed development. The 1,986 square foot space will offer the same Japanese cuisine as Sushi Para’s two other extremely popular restaurants located in Palatine and Lincoln Park. Allen Joffe and Adam Secher of Baum Realty Group represented NNN Properties, the landlord in the transaction. “The new downtown location of Sushi Para is sure to be as popular as its other two locations,” said Joffe, principal at Baum Realty Group. “Directly across the street from a proposed new development, this site will be a downtown hotspot,” said Secher, principal of Baum Realty Group. “If the other two restaurants are any indication, Sushi Para is going to flourish in this high-traffic area.” Offering affordable cuisine, Sushi Para quickly became a poplar destination at its less visible Clark Street and Palatine locations. Ready for expansion, the restaurant will test out the downtown market, looking to appeal to the work day consumer. Sushi Para was represented by Don Marcus of G&A Realty in the transaction. |
