2006 : Pompei to Open Three New Chicagoland Restaurants November 17, 2006 Pompei, the Italian restaurant established in Chicago in 1909, recently announced plans to open three more restaurants in Chicago and its surrounding areas. The three restaurants will be located at 212 E. Ohio, in the Citadel Building located on Dearborn and Adams and at the Center of the Northshore in Northbrook, Illinois. The announcement of the new restaurants represents the company’s expansion efforts, making Chicagoland home to all nine of the Pompei restaurants. Adam Secher of Baum Realty Group, Inc. represented Pompei in all three real estate transactions. “Each of the three new Pompei restaurants will thrive in their respective communities,” said Secher, principal at Baum Realty. “Each of the three locations are located in high traffic areas that will attract customers and increase business for Pompei. Each restaurant will be an appreciated addition to its community.” The Davino family, who founded the business in 1909, established a tradition of quality and freshness that still guides the business today. After three generations Pompei’s already loyal customer base continues to expand. Pompei has enjoyed success and popularity as Chicagoland’s pre-eminent causal Italian restaurant for nearly a century. From its roots in Chicago’s Little Italy corridor, Pompei has successfully expanded throughout the Chicago area, most recently with its three convenient new locations at 212 E. Ohio; the Citadel Building and in Northbrook, Illinois. Over the years what was once just a bakery that served bread and cheese pizza, the restaurant has developed its menu into an extensive selection of gourmet appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, desserts and Pompei’s signature pizza strudels. |
