2006 : Ace Hardware Continues to Expand in Chicago, Nationwide September 22, 2006 Ace Hardware will open its doors in Hickory Hills soon. The company that originated in Chicago is set to open a new location in the Hickory Palos Square Shopping Center located at 95th Street and Roberts. The 14,112 square foot retail property is located next to Jewel/Osco. Allen Joffe, principal of Baum Realty Group, Inc., represented Ace Hardware in the new lease transaction. “This is yet another great in-fill location for Ace Hardware,” said Joffe, who is also the managing broker at Baum. “The store will be located in a convenient center that will serve the surrounding community.” Joffe is Ace Hardware’s exclusive broker in the Chicago metro market. He has helped to expand the number of stores in the area as Ace continues to increase its presence. In 2005, the company opened 131 new stores and is looking to do the same this year.
