2005 : BAUM REALTY GROUP ARRANGES SALE OF WICKES FURNITURE BUILDING FOR $2.55 MILLION Nov. 10, 2005 Chad Firsel of Baum Realty Group has arranged the sale of a 39,600-square-foot building located at 7250 W. Cermak in Chicago, across from North Riverside Park Mall. The property is 100 percent occupied by a Wickes Furniture store. It was acquired for $2.55 million by a Highland Park, Ill.-based private investor who assumed conduit financing from Column Financial. The seller was a Chicago-based private investor. “The property’s attractive site at the busy intersection of Harlem Avenue and Cermak Road, combined with below market rents and strong growth potential, made this appealing to a long term investor,” said Firsel, executive vice president of Baum Realty Group’s Investment Sales Division.
