2005 : BAUM REALTY GROUP NEGOTIATES NEW LEASE FOR MORTON’S RESTAURANT GROUP Famous Steakhouse To Open Location in Northbook, IL Nov. 4, 2005 Morton’s Restaurant Group, the leader in the fine dining segment of the restaurant industry, has signed a long-term new lease for an 8,100-square-foot freestanding building at 707 Skokie Blvd. in Northbrook, Ill. Scheduled to open next fall, this will be Morton’s 6th Chicago area location. The famous steakhouse, founded in 1978 with its original, signature location at 1050 N. State St., Chicago, now boasts 69 locations throughout the United States and in Hong Kong, Singapore and Canada. During lease negotiations, Morton’s was represented by Allen Joffe of Baum Realty Group, Inc. Baum has served as Morton’s exclusive Chicago area brokerage firm since 1997.
