2005 : MICHAEL JOHNSON JOINS BAUM REALTY GROUP May 4, 2005 Michael P. Johnson has joined Chicago-based Baum Realty Group in its Investment Sales Division. The announcement was made by Chad Firsel, executive vice president of the division, which assists clients with the acquisition and disposition of all types of commercial real estate. Johnson joins the firm from Ardent Capital Real Estate Partners, LLC, a real estate investment firm he co-founded in 2003. His firm acquired more than $6 million in multifamily assets, assisted developers in the acquisition of retail and mixed-use properties, and raised $3 million in private capital for real estate and other private equity investments. Before that Johnson spent six years in a senior sales management position with Yahoo! Inc. A graduate of Syracuse University in New York, Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in English and textual studies. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Chicago Real Estate Council and Indiana Apartment Association. In the civic arena he is on the board of trustees for The Kendall Foundation and is a member of the alumni association and alumni mentor program for Syracuse University. |
