2005 : FURLA, USA LEASES FORMER GALLERY YANN SPACE ON OAK ST. Upscale international retailer to open first Chicago location this spring March 16, 2005 Internationally recognized upscale, Italian leather goods and accessories retailer – Furla – will open its first boutique in Chicago this spring. Furla, USA has leased 1,260 square feet at 106 E. Oak St. where it will sell handcrafted handbags, shoes, belts, small leather goods, jewelry, watches, sunglasses and scarves. The luxury retailer has shops worldwide, including U.S. stores in California, Florida, New York, New Jersey and Washington, D.C. Furla will take occupancy of the space formerly occupied by Gallery Yann, which had retained Janika Brenner and Lorraine Adney of Baum Realty Group to find a sublessee. Brenner and Adney went one step further and negotiated with building ownership, Charles Ifergan, to relieve Gallery Yann of its remaining lease term obligation and execute a new lease with Furla. Furla was represented by Sharon Kahan of CB Richard Ellis. |
