2004 : BAUM REALTY GROUP NEGOTIATES NEW LEASE FOR MORTON'S RESTAURANT GROUP Famous Steakhouse To Open Its 2nd Downtown Chicago Location May 26, 2004 Morton's Restaurant Group, the leader in the fine dining segment of the restaurant industry, has signed a long-term new lease for 7,500 square feet at 65 E. Wacker Place, Chicago. This will be Morton's 5th Chicago area location and its 2nd downtown Chicago restaurant. The famous steakhouse, founded in 1978 with its original, signature location at 1050 N. State St., Chicago, now boasts 64 locations throughout the United States and in Hong Kong, Singapore and Canada. During lease negotiations, Morton's was represented by Allen Joffe of Baum Realty Group, Inc. Baum has served as Morton's exclusive Chicago area brokerage firm since 1997. The landlord was represented by David Griffith of The Griffith Group. Morton's Restaurant Group is the largest company-owned steakhouse group in the world. In addition to its popular Morton's steakhouses, the company also owns and operates the Bertolini's Authentic Trattorias. |
