2004 : BAUM REALTY GROUP LAUNCHES INVESTMENT SALES DIVISION Names Respected Industry Professional, Chad M. Firsel, Executive Vice President March 8, 2004 Continuing its strategic long-term growth, Chicago-based Baum Realty Group, Inc. has launched a new Investment Sales Division to assist clients with the disposition and acquisition of all types of commercial real estate. The announcement was made by David Baum who heads the leading retail brokerage firm that represents many high profile landlords and national retailers in the Chicago area and completed more than 25% of all Chicago Loop retail transactions over the past three years and 43% in 2003 alone. "This new division is a natural evolution for us and will enhance our capacity to serve clients even more comprehensively," said Baum, who co-founded the firm in 1991 with his brother, Douglas Baum. "There are many great opportunities out there for creating and maximizing value for clients via property investment and we are in a great position to make it happen." Chad M. Firsel To Lead Investment Team Baum Realty Group's Investment Sales Division will be led by Chad M. Firsel, who has joined the firm as executive vice president. A respected industry executive, Firsel has closed more than $250 million in real estate sales in the past three years. He most recently served as senior vice president of investment sales for Millennium Properties, Inc. and before that was with Marcus and Millichap. In addition to being a real estate investment sales broker, Firsel's background includes residential home building, commercial development and lease negotiations. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, where he serves on the Next Generation board; Young Real Estate Professionals; Real Estate Investment Association; Chicago Association of Realtors; National Association of Realtors; and is on the board of the Chicago Real Estate Council, where he is a director. Firsel holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and finance from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with all-university honors. "We are excited to welcome Chad to the firm.
