BAUM REALTY GROUP NEGOTIATES NEW LEASES FOR AEROSOLES, KINKO'S, PANERA BREAD AND FITIGUES, AMONG OTHERS
Eight Transactions Recently Completed

Chicago-based Baum Realty Group, a leading retail brokerage firm concentrating on the Chicago metropolitan market, recently completed transactions for national and area retailers including Aerosoles, Fitigues, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Chicago-area icon Gold Coast Dogs.

Aerosoles – a leading retailer of women's shoes and accessories – has leased 2,408 square feet for its first Chicago location at 2052 N. Halsted St. in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The store is slated to open in June 2003. Aerosoles was represented by Nicole Paster Putzel and Lorraine Adney of Baum Realty Group during lease negotiations. The landlord, Gossamer, Inc., was represented by Judy Sullivan of Kerry Development.

Chipotle Mexican Grill – a casual-fast Mexican eatery – recently signed a 2,750-square-foot lease at 1023 W. Belmont Ave. in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. The restaurant is slated to open this summer. Representing Chipotle Mexican Grill during lease negotiations were Adam Secher and Nicole Paster Putzel of Baum Realty Group. Scott Maesel of Century 21 Sussex & Reilly represented the landlord.

Gold Coast Dogs – the legendary Chicago hot dog and fast food purveyor – has signed a lease for 1,600 square feet at Evanston Plaza at the corners of Dempster Street and Dodge Avenue in Evanston, Ill. Gold Coast Dogs was represented during lease negotiations by Allen Joffe of Baum Realty Group. The landlord, Joseph Freed & Associates, was represented by Kyla Merrifield of the same firm.

Kinko's – the world's leading provider of document solutions and business services – recently signed two new leases. One was for 3,000 square feet at Ram Plaza on Higgins Road just west of River Road in Rosemont, Ill. This represents a new copy center location for Kinko's, which expects to take occupancy this spring. John Schoditsch of CB Richard Ellis represented the landlord, Ram Restaurant Group.

The second new lease was for 2,713 square feet in the Illinois Center complex at 111 E. Wacker Dr. in Chicago. During lease negotiations, the landlord was represented by Josh Levy of Stone Real Estate.

For the Rosemont transaction, Kinko's was represented by Greg Kirsch and Janika Brenner of Baum Realty Group. Mr. Kirsch represented Kinko's during the Chicago transaction.

Panera Bread – which owns and franchises bakery-cafes under the Panera Bread and Saint Louis Bread Co. names – has signed a long-term new lease for 4,396 square feet at Valparaiso Marketplace in Valparaiso, Ind. The store is scheduled to open this summer. During lease negotiations, Panera Bread was represented by Bill Selonick of Baum Realty Group. The landlord, Pinetree Commercial Realty, LLC, was represented by Tim Roe of Location Finders.

Fitigues – which sells comfortable, casual clothes created in original fabrics for men, women and children – has leased 2,100 square feet plus basement space for its first location in Atlanta. Scheduled to open in June, the store will be located at 26 E. Andrews in the Buckhead neighborhood. Fitigues was represented during lease negotiations by Lorraine Adney of Baum Realty Group and Scott Schuster of The McDevitt Company with Iggy de Quesada of IDQ Realty providing local assistance. Building ownership, The Lunsford Company, represented itself.

Dore Achievement Centers, LP – a specialist in identifying learning disorders in children and adults – leased 10,142 square feet at Embassy Plaza in Schaumburg, Ill. Scheduled to open in May 2003, this center will be the first Chicago-area location for Dore Achievement Centers. Allen Joffe and Janika Brenner of Baum Realty Group represented the tenant. Steve Kling and Josh Schlib of Colliers Bennett & Kahnweiler represented the landlord.
