2002 : BAUM REALTY GROUP WINS TWO NEW EXCLUSIVE RETAIL LEASING ASSIGNMENTS Nov. 13, 2002 In the latest in a series of new retail assignments won, Chicago-based Baum Realty Group has been named exclusive broker for the retail space located at 200 N. LaSalle and at University Center of Chicago, 525 S. State St. A leading retail brokerage firm concentrating on the greater Chicago metropolitan market, Baum Realty Group has, over the past six years, completed approximately 25% of all retail transactions in Chicago's Loop, where both buildings are located. The assignment at 200 N. LaSalle was awarded by building owner Transwestern. The 629,040-square-foot office tower, developed in 1984, has 3,240 square feet of retail space currently available. Existing retail tenants include Associated Bank, Briazz, Sertanos and HQ Printers. Baum Realty Group's Allen Joffe and Janika Brenner are heading up this leasing assignment. At University Center of Chicago, Baum Realty Group was awarded exclusive retail leasing responsibilities by the building's owner, the Education Advancement Fund, Inc. The 18-story, 1,700-bed student residence, scheduled to open in fall 2004, will be the nation's largest multi-university residence, accommodating students from DePaul University, Roosevelt University and Columbia College. Managing the leasing of the property's 30,793 square feet of ground level retail space will be Baum Realty Group's Allen Joffe and Debbie Brown. |
