2002 : BAUM REALTY GROUP ADDS FOUR REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS TO STAFF INCLUDING TWO SENIOR SPECIALISTS IN TENANT REPRESENTATION Firm Also Expands Chicago Office To Accommodate Growth Sept. 4, 2002 Chicago-based Baum Realty Group, a leading retail brokerage firm concentrating on the Chicago metropolitan market, has added four professionals to its brokerage staff. Bill Selonick and Lorraine Adney, both highly experienced specialists in tenant representation, have joined Baum as vice presidents, coming from Northern Realty Group and Jones Lang LaSalle respectively. Additionally, Deborah Brown and Jennifer Annello have joined the firm as associates, coming from US Bank and Starbucks Coffee Company respectively. To accommodate its rapid growth, Baum Realty Group has relocated into expanded office space at 1030 W. Chicago Ave. in Chicago's River West submarket. At 6,000 square feet, the new office is more than 65% larger than its previous location. Bill Selonick joins Baum Realty Group as a vice president. He previously served as a vice president at Northern Realty Group, working with various national and regional tenants and developers throughout the Midwest. Most notably, Mr. Selonick assembled more than 90 acres of land for Poag and McEwen Lifestyle Centers and assisted in securing municipal approvals for the successful Deer Park Town Center project in Deer Park, Ill . In addition, Mr. Selonick remains the exclusive broker for Panera Bread Company in Chicago. To date he has represented Panera in more than 40 transactions, which account for approximately 10% of its current national total store count. He also has extensive experience in retail investments, having been involved with more than $500 million in acquisitions of regional shopping centers, mixed-used developments and other office and retail properties nationwide during a 10-year tenure at Jones Lang LaSalle. Mr. Selonick received his MBA from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1986. He resides in Evanston, Ill. Lorraine Adney also joins Baum Realty Group as a vice president. She brings to the position more than 15 years experience in the commercial real estate industry, including most recently serving as vice president and director of tenant representation at Jones Lang LaSalle. During her tenure at Jones Lang LaSalle, Ms. Adney developed a successful retail tenant representation business, specializing in site selection and strategic planning on behalf of luxury and fashion brands, such as Jean Paul Gaultier, for which she established its first U.S. flagship store on Madison Avenue in New York City. Ms. Adney also consulted for LladrĂ³ on its national expansion. Ms. Adney has held various retail real estate positions in new business, retail leasing and capital markets with Lend Lease, The Rouse Co., The Taubman Co. and Homart Development Co. She is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Fashion Group International. Ms. Adney received her bachelor's degree with Highest Distinction in Mathematics from the University of Michigan and her master's in mathematics from the University of Illinois. She resides in Chicago. Deborah Brown has joined Baum Realty Group as an associate. She brings a strong financial background to the firm where she will focus on retail tenant representation. Prior to joining Baum, Ms. Brown served as a relationship manager at US Bank in Chicago. While at US Bank, she closed some $440 million in commercial real estate loan transactions. She previously also has held positions with Greystone Realty Corp., Mobil Oil Corp., National Cooperative Bank and Riggs National Bank. Professional memberships include the ICSC and the Chicago Real Estate Council. Ms. Brown received her MBA and MS Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She resides in Chicago's DePaul neighborhood. Jennifer Annello has joined Baum Realty Group as an associate. She comes to the firm from Starbucks Coffee Company where she served as a development representative, acting as the real estate representative for the Midwest region. At Starbucks, she was responsible for developing retail stores in 2001 and 2002 for the city and suburbs of Chicago, Minnesota and Wisconsin. In addition to her retail real estate experience, Ms. Annello has residential real estate expertise, having previously worked for CMC Heartland Partners on a condominium high-rise project in Chicago's Fulton River district and for Avalon Bay, as a leasing agent for a luxury rental community in Bloomingdale, Ill. A member of the ICSC, she received her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas A&M and currently resides in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood. |
