| Bill Selonick Principal Since joining Baum Realty Group, LLC in May 2002, Bill Selonick has represented Washington Mutual Bank in its astounding Chicago market rollout, arranging more than 174 fully executed leases with teammate Greg Kirsch. In 2003, the team set a national record for the number of completed transactions for a single client in a single market in a single year. In that year, the 60 Washington Mutual leases completed were valued at well over $60 million. Primarily for his work on the Washington Mutual Bank account, Bill, along with Greg, were recipients of the 2003 Chicago Association of Realtors Commercial Forum Retail Broker of the Year award. In addition, Bill has been and remains the exclusive broker for Panera Bread in Chicago. Since taking on the account more than ten years ago, he has represented Panera, or its single area Franchisee, in more than 75 completed transactions to date, accounting personally for more than seven percent of Panera’s national store count. This fall Panera chose one of Bill’s deals to celebrate its 1,000th store opening. At Baum, Bill’s other exclusive clients include Johnny Rockets, Pompei Bakery, Flynn Guitars, and Jerry’s Gourmet Sandwiches. Prior to joining Baum, Bill worked at Northern Realty Group where he specialized in tenant representation working with various national and local tenants throughout the Midwest. He was also the sole broker involved in completing a major suburban land assemblage that resulted in Chicago’s first lifestyle center, Deer Park Town Center. In that instance, he assembled more than 90 acres on behalf of Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers and assisted in securing the required municipal approvals for the project. Bill is also a former Jones Lang LaSalle employee, where he specialized in the acquisition of institutional quality real estate on behalf of pension fund clients. During his tenure at LaSalle, Bill sourced, negotiated and closed on the acquisition of more than $500 million of regional shopping centers, lifestyle centers and office buildings. Bill earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from Oberlin College. He resides in Evanston with his wife Sona and daughters Hannah and Lillian. Khaki, the family’s eight-year-old golden retriever, makes occasional appearances at Baum’s office. |
