Principal, Managing Broker
Allen Joffe is both a principal and the managing broker of Baum Realty Group, LLC. Since joining the firm in 1993, he provides clients with an unmatched knowledge of the Chicago area retail leasing business. Allen has successfully negotiated and managed lease transactions for more than 40 clients including Jared The Galleria of Jewelry, Morton’s Restaurant Group, Boston Market, McDonald’s, Ace Hardware, Jimmy John’s, Kay Jewelers, Kinko’s, Elephant Bar Restaurant, Fitness 19, Performance Bicycle, Fatburger, The Little Gym and Taco Fresco.
Allen has overseen retail leasing programs for properties including five shopping centers for DIKA Management, Broadview Village Square, 123 N. Wacker Drive for Triple Net Properties, 200 N. LaSalle Street for Transwestern, 2 E. 8th Street for GMH Properties, 208 S. LaSalle Street for The Prime Group and McClurg Court for Charles E. Smith. He has also completed assignments on behalf of Fifield Co., Education Advancement Fund, Albertson’s (Jewel/Osco), Tower Realty Management, Syndicated Equities, TPG Realty, Diversey Metroplex Partners, and Terrapin Properties. Allen has also completed land sales of between one and 80 acres, successfully negotiated lease terminations, consulted for the Chicago Transit Authority and Mesirow-Stein, as well as brokering approximately $30 million of investment sales transactions on behalf of DIKA Management.
Allen has been recognized for his achievements by the Commercial Forum, a division of the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR) on numerous occasions. He was recipient of the 2007 CAR Award and was named the 2006 and 2007 Broker of the Year for Tenant Representation.
Allen is an active member of Lambda Alpha International, The Realty Club and the International Council of Shopping Centers. He also serves on the Signage Review Task Force of the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association and the Redevelopment Committee for the Chicago Loop Alliance (CLA).
Allen graduated from Illinois State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
